Counseling is the best media to improve the knowledge , attitude and practice on health . Counseling in the community & hospital are essential to optimum use of health services and also help to improve health status in the hospital and outside the hospital.
There are many types of services provided from hospital. Operation is one of them. Operation begins lifesaver. Surgical operation is the most important part of the medical science. All kinds of surgical operation are performing in the hospitals in our country.

Diagnostic service is available in the lowest level facilities to tertiary level hospitals. Quality of Diagnostic services in the tertiary hospitals is very high. They are using MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasonogram, Digital X-rays, Biometry, Cobalt machine, ECG etc.

The EPI programme was launched in 1979 and continue till now. EPI provides full immunization against six communicable diseases of childhood . The target population are children under one year for tetanus toxoid pregnant women and women of childbearing age .

This is the Era of Information and Communication Technology. MIS has high level server to provide mail & browsing services in DGHS and also take initiative to provide email facilities to the 64 Civil Surgeon offices and 13 Medical College Hospitals.

Bird flu is not the same as SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome). Although their symptoms are similar, SARS is caused by completely different viruses. Influenza viruses also are more contagious and cannot be as readily contained as SARS by isolating people who have the infection.
